From Vision to Passion and Frienship
Rangmanch Production is more than a theatre company. It is a dream that grew quietly in Perth for over fifteen years. Our journey began long before Rangmanch was officially born. In small rehearsal rooms, community halls, living rooms and late-night chai gatherings, in performances through various forums, a handful of us – a director, actors, technicians and dreamers – kept alive the spirit of Bengali, Hindi and regional Indian theatre in Western Australia.
With every small performance, every script reading, every experiment on stage, that spark grew brighter.
What started as individual passion slowly stitched itself into a powerful collective vision.
Along the way, friendships deepened. New talent emerged. Children grew into young performers. Audiences began to return, bringing more friends with them. And the Perth Indian community saw something they had been longing for — their languages, their stories, their emotions, their memories — alive on stage, in grand scale. Rangmanch Production was born.
Rangmanch was created not only to perform plays, but to build a platform — a space where art, culture, identity and community could meet. A place where anyone with a love for theatre could step forward, learn, collaborate and shine. Since then, our journey has been nothing short of extraordinary.
Our production “Jallianwala Bagh” touched hearts across Western Australia, reviving history with dignity, emotion and truth.
Our adaptation of “Byomkesh Bakshi” brought a new wave of excitement to Perth’s theatre lovers — thrilling narratives, masterfully crafted characters and a team performing at their very best. These milestones are only the beginning.
Rangmanch has now become a family — of artists and audiences, students and teachers, children and parents, creatives and supporters — all connected by one shared passion:
